Delighted to attend the launch of a 'photobook' guide establishing maintenance, cleaning & caretaking standards for our estates. The guide will used by housing staff to enhance the caretaking service & by residents to conduct inspections as part of our neighbourhood voice scheme

Lovely to see Princess Beatrice making a surprise visit to West Thornton Primary School in Croydon and sharing her love of reading as she sat down with pupils to read 'When Dinosaurs Walked the Earth' - the 2024 winner of Oscar's Book Prize which she is the Royal patron of.

Delighted to launch Tenison's Through Time exhibition. Fascinating insight into Thomas Tenison who served as Archbishop of Canterbury, crowning 2 Monarchs, & founding Archbishop Tenison's Croydon school providing education for 'ten poor boys and ten poor girls'. At the Museum of Croydon until June 14

The blitz clean-up is well & truly underway in #ThorntonHeath with Scott Roche & I joining Council contractor Chequers Contract Services removing graffiti & helping to restore pride. We were also joined by Thornton Heath Community Action Team volunteers to unveil the new Cleaner Croydon campaign posters.

Attended the launch of Legacy Youth Zone new strategy where I spoke about my pride in being from Croydon & stressed the importance of our partnership working. Pleased to see Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield UK showing continued commitment pledging £75,000 to support our Legacy young people over the next 3 years.

Fascinating to see the new technology deployed in Croydon assisting police locating wanted suspects. I saw the Metropolitan Police Live Facial Recognition cameras in action and with 100 arrests since December this is proving a fantastic asset in helping to keep our communities safer.
