I have sympathy for councillors. Some are shameless NIMBYs, but more just have strong negative incentives.

Vocal NIMBYs, community groups & diffuse benefits; all pressures are against building homes.

We need to give councils a sweetener - linked to council budgets.

We were out supporting Christine Wallace’s campaign for Lambeth and Southwark today.

Her campaign is what we need to see more of: pro-housing, pro-young people.

Great to be out campaigning with Christine Wallace.

She’s run a fantastic campaign and will be a brilliant London Assembly member.

Parliament should vote on changing the law to allow assisted dying. Hundreds of terminally ill Britons are forced to live out their final weeks, days and hours in painful, distressing circumstances. We should all have the ability to decide our own fate. That is our right.
