We've got more genomes on the way soon as part of this huge collaboration, funded through Wellcome Sanger Institute and the Darwin Tree of Life Discretionary Award!

Together we've collected over 700 plants and 250 fungi from across 🇬🇧 and 🇮🇪 for sequencing, from the chicken of the woods fungus to the European elder!

The open-access knowledge we gain by sequencing is essential to securing our isles' biodiversity.

The Darwin Tree of Life project has hit 1000 genomes on the quest to sequence all eukaryotic life in 🇬🇧 and 🇮🇪!

With local professionals and citizen scientists, we've already contributed material for 59 plant and 22 fungal genomes, including the isles' biggest genome: mistletoe!
