Which of these key Christmas dinner ingredients would you like the Darwin Tree of Life to finish sequencing next? 🎄
We've got more genomes on the way soon as part of this huge collaboration, funded through Wellcome Sanger Institute and the Darwin Tree of Life Discretionary Award!
The Darwin Tree of Life project has hit 1000 genomes on the quest to sequence all eukaryotic life in 🇬🇧 and 🇮🇪!
With local professionals and citizen scientists, we've already contributed material for 59 plant and 22 fungal genomes, including the isles' biggest genome: mistletoe!

We ask what structures repetitive element 'communities' in ecologically diverse palm genomes:
🚨 bit.ly/3D8KR9G 🚨
We find repeat communities are structured by aridity, and repeats close to drought-stress genes amplify in dry environments.
