From sage to lime, to shamrock, emerald and all shades in between, Hays CISD on March 25 displayed our green as we together became Hornet Strong. On Monday, our Hays CISD community wore the color green in support of Tom Green Elementary following this past week’s tragic bus crash.

On Friday, March 22, 2024, a Hays CISD bus carrying Tom Green ES Pre-K students was involved in a serious accident. Statements & info for the public and news media will be made available here: hayscisd.net/tgesbus

Crosstown competitors, Hays and Lehman JV and Varsity boys and girls soccer teams will be going head to head Friday night. Both Lehman teams will be celebrating Senior Night as well. Girls soccer will be at Hays Highs' Shelton Stadium and boys soccer will be at Lobo Field.

Crosstown competitors Lehman and Hays varsity girls basketball teams went head to head for their last games of the season last night at Hays High’s Bales Gym. Hays girls won 80-32.

February 5-9 is National School Counselors Week. We can’t say enough about how much we appreciate our counselors. They’re not only guidance counselors, they support mental health, advocate for students, mentor, liase with parents, and the list goes on. Thank you, counselors!
