A huge thanks to Wendy Chamberlain MP, Chair of the APPG on Ending the Need for Food Banks, for hosting this event, as well as our volunteers for sharing their experiences, and the more than 45 Parliamentarians who were able to join us on the day.
New The Trussell Trust data released today reveals that food banks in their network provided 3.12 million emergency food parcels between 1 April 2023 and 31 March 2024. This is the most parcels the network has ever distributed in a single year. Read more here: trusselltrust.org/news-and-blog/…
Today, we hosted an event in partnership with the The Trussell Trust, raising awareness of the latest picture of food bank need across the UK, and the action needed to build a future where no one needs a food bank.
