Looks like we’ve a project on our hands! 🦁 Birmingham CT GoldenLionBrum Exciting to get behind the scenes and see the building in its raw state before the feasibility work begins next month

Yesterday the Birmingham CT team were treated to a behind-the-scenes visit! 🦁 What a privilege it is to step foot inside this building. The creative juices were definitely flowing.

The next few months are an exciting time for us as we explore future options for this building.

Within the space of 35 mins, we have three new supporters! Thank you 🤩

We’ve raised just over £200 so far and have eight supporters to call our own! 😊 Buy your Birmingham Community Lottery ticket to support us, as well as a host of other good causes in Brum! So pleased to see this amazing heritage asset being protected. Looking forward to seeing how this project progresses.

It’s believed that the Golden Lion was constructed sometime between 1570 and 1590.

Surveys start next month and we’re most excited about dendrochronology! This helps to date a timber building and we suspect that some of the timbers are older than 1570. We will see 🤩
