This log book entry was written by the head teacher of Radnor Road School #Canton #Cardiff #otd in 1945, #VEDay

Following a service of thanksgiving, the school closed for two days. But, due to poor attendance on 10 May, the holiday was extended to a third day.

There will be a talk about the Cardiff Workhouse on Thurs 23 May at 6.30pm at Grange Pavilion by Terry Kane of Grangetown Local History Soc. All welcome to come along. (NB: Change of date)

Taken during the 1920s, it shows children dancing around the maypole.

It comes from a series of photos showing festivals held at Rhiwbina.
