Turns out they cost twice as much to fuel as their manufacturers claim, and only deliver half the savings you'd get if you moved to an EV

No, you have 0% zero-emissions EV motoring as ALL your primary energy comes from burning fossil fuels. You simply shift the emissions in time with a modest increase in efficiency from energy recovery so whilst SOME miles may be driven with zero tailpipe emissions, that energy

because plug in hybrids typically produce 350% more CO2 than their manufacturers claim

And only 23% less than their petrol equivalents - so not exactly environmental game-changers

(and compared to what you can get out of an electric vehicle, 64.1mpg is rubbish)
