“There is no money, there is no food, there is no ceasefire. There is no hope for those living in Gaza.”

The UK Government must urgently create a Palestinian Visa Scheme, for people like my constituent who just wants her family to be safe.

As our MP Andy Slaughter said just now in Westminster, we and people from across West London have long been calling for the rights of Palestinians to join their family here in the UK and be granted refuge like other groups we support.

Above all, there must be a #ceasefirenow .

Hospitals in Gaza are now reporting that they will only function for a matter of hours due to fuel shortages after the Israeli military closed the Rafah crossing.

The doctor I interviewed was at the European Hospital. It has now run out of fuel and is in blackout.

Pleased that MPs have debated this important proposed scheme, which Room to Heal has supported. Clearly sensible policy proposal which should be introduced without delay so that UK residents with families in Gaza are able to bring their loved ones to safety.

Families belong together, and those trapped in Gaza deserve the right to reunite with their loved ones in the UK. But current policies are failing them.

Indeed.

There was not one MP from any party at this WM debate that didn't speak in favour of an urgent visa scheme for Palestinians to reunite with UK family members.

With Ukraine, it happened in weeks. With Gaza, the UK Government still says: 'Nope'.

Today I attended a parliamentary debate on the Gaza Families Reunited petition, which I fully support.

To save lives in Gaza, we must demand a ceasefire and a lifting of the siege.

Meanwhile, UK residents with families in Gaza must be allowed to bring their loved ones to safety.

How is this Government able to condemn some countries on their records and not others?
