Thank you to GA AG Chris Carr for his commitment to securing justice for victims of human trafficking and keeping offenders on notice. Georgia has no tolerance for human trafficking, and we will continue to send a firm message to all traffickers that they will answer to the law.
Tonight is Suicide Prevention night at the ballpark💚
First Lady Marty Kemp joined Hanna Yates on Braves LIVE to discuss 988 night and the sigma around mental health.
It was a pleasure to join Georgia DBHDD Commissioner Tanner and the Atlanta Braves tonight to highlight the importance of mental health and the 988 hotline. If you or a loved one are in need of mental health support, please contact 988 to speak to an expert, and know there is hope.
Always proud of the work the GA AG Chris Carr Human Trafficking Prosecution Unit and law enforcement partners do each day to bring justice to those who engage in human trafficking and bring victims to safety.
May is #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth , and we’re working hard to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health issues by making sure Georgians know they can call 988, whether experiencing an emergency or just in need of a listening ear.
I was honored to join Kevin Tanner at the Rosalynn Carter Georgia Mental Health Forum this morning to talk about how the state is addressing mental health. It's okay not to be okay, and we should never stop sharing that with our friends and loved ones.
Incredible work by the GA Bureau of Investigation Cold Case Unit and all our partners on this case.
Last year, I signed the Coleman-Baker Act so that we can bring closure and justice, far too long deferred, to families like this. May Tara’s memory live on through the good work of this Unit.
This morning, I joined some awesome Bright from the Start students on their own Magnificent Field Trip to the Governor’s Mansion!

@ReadwithMalcolm’s newest book highlights all the best parts of the People’s House, and we spent the morning watching the pages come alive one by one.
Whether we are talking about human trafficking or mental health, it is important that all Georgians are aware of the signs and symptoms of these crises and are unafraid to say something. I’m glad to have joined Brian in talking about this with Michelle Benitez and @Univision34ATL!
I was honored to join Governor Brian P. Kemp as he signed legislation to further the fight against human trafficking, and to support the victims of this horrendous act. Thank you to our partners who have joined in the fight, and I look forward to continuing our work in the coming years.
