This week I had my PhD viva and am relieved to have passed with minor corrections. 6 years in the making - an amazing feeling to have it (nearly) done! A wall thickness of 15mm reflects far greater hypertrophy at the apex than the base. Apical HCM can be reliably diagnosed with an indexed wall thickness less than you’d expect.
