Today was my first time around Champions without our fearless leader, Jackie Burke Jr. He will be dearly missed. I could always count on Mr. B to provide me with a free swing tip, mental tip, or a famous Burke-ism. “You can’t get lost on a straight road” was my favorite…

Just starting sleeting/snowing. I think that’s a good sign the season is over. House is all shuttered and ready for the long winter. See you next spring Windy Ledge!

A little spicy on the higher summits of NH today…mid forties, 70-mph winds, and light rain. Quite the dichotemy when it’s 76 and sunny down in the valley. Mt. Jefferson via Caps Ridge Trail. Quick trip to the summit and back down in 3.5 hours

Darmor Club will be known for its par 5’s and par 3’s. The first two pictures are of the “punchbowl” 4th. The first one is from the east side and the second from the west side early morning. The last picture is of the “Cardinal” and from the tips it’s 650 yards of amazing golf!!

Can’t believe it took me seven years to finally get out to Bluejack National but it didn’t disappoint. Extremely fun course, accommodating staff, and maybe the best amenities of any golf property. This one is definitely scoring high on the extracurriculars

Get ready for one of the best par 5’s in Texas. It’s called the long out and it’s #9 at Darmor Club. It’s got the Hell bunker on it and it’s got mounding from the mining that was done. Two pictures are taken from in between 12 and 9 and the other from the landing area of 2nd shot

Another peak at one of our template holes at Darmor. Here is “Dell” hole #2. First image is from the top of the fronting hill (our construction manager is in foreground for scale). Second image is side view of the green taken from golfer’s right. Hal Sutton @Heritage-Links

Harvesting our own big roll sod from the driving range floor at Champions GC to reinstall on Chris Ortmeier’s newly renovated driving range tee. Our machine is pretty slick!

Knocked off four of NH’s 4,000 footers (1 official and 3 unofficial). Moosilauke (4,802’), Mt. Blue (4,529’ bushwhack to summit, no view), South Peak (4,523’), and Mt. Jim (4,167’ also no view).

Paris Hill Country Club, Paris Hill, South Paris, Maine - a quirky, fun, little, nine-hole par 33/35 tucked in the western foothills of Maine. Two minutes from the family summer home and one of the two courses I learned to play golf on

Here’s a sneak peak at some holes at Darmor Club that I am co-designing with Hal Sutton. Image 1 is the tee shot from the short Dell hole. Images 2 and 3 are the tee shot and front bunker on Biarritz. Image 4 is the hillside bunkers on the Alps hole.

For several months now I’ve been building what I think is going to be one of the best courses in Texas. It’s called Darmor Club. Doug Wright and myself have used several of the template holes to create a very special place. We will start grassing this month so stay tuned!!

It’s been a four year journey from breaking ground to teeing it up at PGA Frisco, and it was awesome to spend the day with the hard working team that made it all happen. Incredible facility that thousands will enjoy for years to come! Blake Smith Agustin

Got to spend Sunday, Seth Raynor’s birthday, at his masterpiece, Shoreacres. Wow…one of the most walkable courses anywhere, incredible use of the natural ravines, fantastic green complexes, and a laid back golden age vibe. Adam Lemons
