I had an evening commitment yesterday after what has been an extremely busy year. I keep pushing, hustling & powering through to get to a finish line that continues to move. Yesterday my body said NO, STOP, REST, ALIGN. This work is heavy so don’t forget to rest & choose you.

Last night, during the Community Conversations, Dr. Shonda Ambers-Phillips led community, including staff, through an exercise to generate retention ideas that may not have been already considered. The dialogue was rich. This is “For Our People” MRH School District.

Started off the morning NAMI St. Louis walk with MRH School District . Decided to run instead of walk since I had my trainer (i.e., college athlete son) w/me. I made it, slow & steady wins the race. NAMI raises awareness & reduces the stigma associated w/mental illness.

I still remember what a former Assistant Superintendent told me while working in Rockwood. In Human Resources he said hire the right person for the job and trust them to do it.
Sound advice that still rings true today!
