Delight Lesson 2 of our Rainforest Retreat project, take a look at some of our finished products!

Over the next two weeks, the primary schools we visited in January as part of our annual Delight in Shakespeare tour (Delight) will be performing their versions of The Tempest. Here's a couple of pics from 2022's Dream(s).

Today in Y4 we have had the pleasure of Delight coming in to teach us our first lesson of art! It fits in nicely with our 'What a Wonderful World' topic and rainforests that we're doing in literacy, as today we created colourful rainforest leaves. Don't they look amazing!

Today is Delight In Shakespeare’s final performance, and they're in Sundbury-on-Thames. Next schools begin work on their own versions of The Tempest, and GSC will visit again in the coming weeks to support them. Delight

The last 6 years we’ve partnered with Delight, to bring primary schools the 'Delight in Shakespeare' project. 2023 saw a new prod of MACBETH touring schools, with workshops + 8 performances by every school of their own version of the play.

Last week we held a CPD day for our Delight in Shakespeare teachers, led by professional actors from Guildford Shakespeare Company. We delved into the world of Shakespeare's The Tempest and how to bring drama to the classroom ✨
