A new review article from the Wellington Lab lab suggests that inhibiting the CETP protein, which influences the LDL:HDL cholesterol ratio, can reduce cardiovascular risk and also potentially lower the risk of vascular contributions to cognitive impairment and dementia.

๐จNew pub from Aging, Mobility, and Cognitive Health Lab! My co-first author Guilherme M. Balbim and I report modest effects of aerobic exercise on hippocampal volume in healthy older individuals. This finding instigated a very rich discussion about our growing knowledge of exercise and hippocampal plasticity.
