Each year on Workers Memorial Day we gather to mourn CT workers killed on the job - and resolve to make our workplaces safer. This year, we're focused on safety for nurses & on the workplace toll the opiate crisis takes particularly on high injury areas like the building trades.

The most important part of our ceremony is the remembrance. We read the names of workers who died and ring the Firefighters' Bell of Connecticut, and AFM Local 400 member Stephen Owens concludes the ceremony with Taps.
