We are fighting for Chicago in Springfield.

I spent some time in our state capital this week with Gov. Pritzker, Speaker Welch, Senate President Harmon, and other state legislators discussing how we can continue to collaborate and deliver for the people of Chicago.

The mission to give every Chicagoan a home continues with $250 million in our FY24 budget and $625 million in housing support, homeowner aid and homelessness services as part of our landmark $1.25 billion housing and economic development bond.

No need to Google it – downtown Chicago is alive.

The Thompson Center is undergoing nearly $300 million in renovations to become @google’s Chicago HQ, bringing more business, retail and recreational space to an updated architectural masterpiece in the heart of the Loop.

Yesterday, The Field Museum unveiled the Chicago Archaeopteryx – the earliest known dinosaur that also qualifies as a bird, and one of only 13 fossils of this animal ever found.

We honored the memories of fallen Chicago police officers this weekend at the 92nd Annual St. Jude Memorial March, where thousands walked in solidarity with friends, families, and communities.

Thank you all for your service and your sacrifice.

We look forward to prioritizing the O'Hare Global Terminal to support travelers, and bring thousands of jobs and contracting opportunities to Chicago.
