Today marks a significant achievement for the Caribbean in the fight against HIV.

Jamaica, Belize, and St. Vincent & the Grenadines join eight other countries certified by WHO for eliminating mother-to-child transmission of HIV and syphilis.

Governments in the Caribbean have clearly made a political choice – a choice crystallised into a commitment that no child – not one child - will be borne HIV positive or with syphilis under their watch.
