Monument to crane-worker Adem Reka, who lost his life at the Port of #Durrës ,
November 17, 1966.

Though on his day off Reka joined efforts to save a 100 tonne vessel during a storm & was killed when a cable snapped.

I took him to see A New Hope in 1977 when he was 6 and will never forget him jumping out of his seat and shouting ‘hooray’ when Luke blew up the Death Star!

What an incredible photo of this bronze shield as it was discovered in a grave in #Apollonia . The conservator did an amazing job.
Last photo is an image of a similar shield on a funerary relief.

Inflation alert!

My yoghurt ice cream has gone up - a single scoop in a cone was 60 lek and now it’s 80.

That’s a big leap and a sign that tourist season is here.
