At the SCOTS Conference this am, COSLA E&E Spokesperson Gail Macgregor tells delegates: 'Transport must be at the centre of a just transition. It’s impossible to consider building a fairer, low carbon society in Scotland without a fundamental reassessment of transport needs.'

First Minister John Swinney has spoken to the COSLA Presidential Team about shared priorities and key issues for local government. Working in partnership with local government to build upon the success of the Verity House Agreement is a key commitment for @ScotGov.

The COSLA Environment and Economy Spokesperson Gail Macgregor will address delegates, later this morning, when she gives the opening address at the Scottish Collaboration of Transportation Specialists (SCOTS) Conference- entitled ‘Connecting Our Communities’ - in Pitlochry.

COSLA's Health and Social Care Board will meet later this morning, chaired by Spokesperson Paul Kelly 🇺🇦.

Saddened by the news of the passing of Cllr Robin Currie. I knew him for his important and respected contribution to Local Government through COSLA and valued the insight he brought. I learned much from chats with him about Scotland’s diversity. He brought a much needed calmness
