You couldn’t make it up!

Tories start off this election by breaking their pledge from their last election manifesto!

Great chatting to Matthew Wright on LBC about The Leasehold Bill in Parliament yesterday and the Tories failure to cap Ground Rent and to abolish Forfeiture.

What a joy to meet Dillon!
A gorgeous Autism Assistance Dog

And it was him distracting me — honest!

On a day when we have heard of the tragic death of a dog owner and the need to control potentially aggressive breeds, it’s important to remember the service of dogs like Dillon.

This is somebody who knows what he’s talking about telling it like it is.

Now all we need is for politicians to listen and take it on board.

Interesting to see that former housing minister Maclean was keen to put all the blame for unsustainable housing costs firmly onto Sadiq Khan ….

…even when she had no data to base it on!

Year 9 students Ark Elvin Academy showing what amazing citizens they are becoming.

Each group vying with the other to do more for their chosen charities & presenting their work to the judges.

So many folk knock young people. Wonderful to see these kids show how wrong they are.

Our letter to the PM was reinforced this morning by the debate on Biodiversity.

In my remarks I pointed out that Colombia as host of COP16 of the Convention on Biological Diversity has already joined the Beyond Oil and Gas Alliance. The U.K. needs to follow suit

Great to be at the official opening of the new Orthopaedic centre for elective operations at Central Middlesex Hospital today.

This will reduce the number of cancelled operations.

Congratulations to the North West London Team.

Great job Tony for taking the Stop Fire & Rehire Bill to the next stage. It’ll be an honour to pick up from where we left off in the Commons almost 2 years ago.

Tragedy is that in the months in between the government has done nothing.
The next Labour government must and will.

Yesterday the CEO of Centrica was asked to explain why U.K. bill payers were saddled with an extra £29Billion for their gas and electric, driving many into hardship at the same time as Oil and Gas companies were making £65billion in profit.
And why his company who made

Members of our select committee yesterday were shocked to find that baby formula was so expensive it is being put under security lock in supermarkets. I have now tabled the Early Day Motion below:

I agree with Sadiq Khan

That’s why I introduced an amendment to the Tories’ Leasehold Bill that would have permitted leaseholders to withhold their service charges if accounts aren’t produced within 6 months of the end of the financial year.

Government rejected it!

'The Treaty is the missing piece of the jigsaw'.

Great to see APPG supporters from across parties including Barry Gardiner urging the UK to ratify the historic Global Ocean Treaty.

The Treaty would enable critical marine protection beyond national waters, on the “high seas”.

How much time do you give to contemplating Whale Poo?

Yesterday I spoke about the interconnectedness of life in our Oceans as I asked the government to get on and ratify the Global Oceans Treaty that would protect 30% of our High Seas.

This is what Leadership looks like.

While his opponents are sending out nasty and divisive letters to discourage people from voting for him, Sadiq is just getting on with the job of improving life for Londoners.
