In this perspective for International Centre for Counter-Terrorism, I explore how violent non-state actors use 3D-printed firearms ( #3DPF ) and ponder what role these weapons will play in the future before investigating their legality in various jurisdictions.

Happy this is finally in print. We (Roos vd Haer and Babak Rezaee ) find that conflict increases during agricultural idle times in Africa. We think this gets us more leverage on the opportunity cost mechanism than existing measures.
