This week the Area Land Committee (ALC) of Warr Sub-county, conducted inspection on land to be registered and issued Certificates of Customary Ownership (CCOs).

Together with Oxfam in Uganda, we are supporting women small-scale farmers in West Nile sub-region to acquire CCOs.

Today at the VIII Global Conference on Family Farming, our national chairperson, Hakim Baliraine, was part of a roundtable that discussed the new alliances to address environmental, social, and food challenges.

This week, we visited the Wadikira Organic Honey Enterprise & the Zungida Arabica Coffee Enterprise
that are supported by the Agroecology Business Hub.

This aimed at assessing the operational status of the machinery provided & evaluate progress made through their utilization.

Yesterday!

We held the 1st #Agroecology Conference for Journalists and Communicators in Kampala.

The conference brought together journalists and communicators from five EAC countries to discuss their role in upscaling agroecology and protecting our food systems.

We spent this week in Mukono & Masaka building the capacity of small-scale farmer leaders on using Participatory Guarantee Systems (PGS). This is aimed at building a community-led certification process for the production of healthy food using agroecological farming practices.
