Billy Donovan said he hasn’t been contacted by Kentucky. Neither has his agent. Asked how he’d react if he was contacted, he said: “I’m committed to being here.”

Henry Aaron was a class act, elevating the HR record he earned (and still holds IMO).
Terrific when I encountered him as a kid, great when I interviewed him multiple times years later.
What a thrill that was 50 years ago!

This is the 9th season since the Bulls fired Tom Thibodeau. Only 2 of them will have been winning seasons, and one of those was a 42-40 campaign in 2015-'16 in which they missed the playoffs.

So the Bulls have had 1 relevant season since firing Tom Thibodeau.

Was GT asked by Minneapolis media in 2021, upon initial report of the deal and the price at which he was locking in, how he’d feel about the franchise valuation going up (likely considerably) by the time it was completed in 2024?

😆 Maybe if you’re asking a class of kindergarteners.
The guy after whom the Rookie of the Year Award is named — Wilt Chamberlain — was the greatest rookie anyone ever has seen. And no, Wemby’s not “the second-greatest” either. Check your replies. (h/t Basketball Reference)

Wembanyama’s season is not unlike Spurs’ 2 previous ROY winners.

• Wemby: 20.7 ppg, 10.3 rpg, 3.6 apg, 3.5 bpg.
• Tim Duncan (1998): 21.1, 11.9, 2.7, 2.5.
• David Robinson (1990): 24.3, 12.0, 2.0, 3.9.

Key difference: TD (+20) & DR (+21) added W’s in Year 1.
VW: (-2 so far).
