How many do you remember?

Dundee had the first trolley bus service in Scotland, running Sept 1912 to May 1914. It ran between Strathmartine Road and Forfar Road.
They had no rails but needed overhead power cables.
This one is outside 61 Clepington Road.

The amazing exhibition Botanic Garden, University of Dundee by Emma Rankin 'I hear you Mr Gardiner' reminds us of a favourite book of ours by William Gardiner on mosses (with real specimens) designed to convey to the young 'knowledge which enlarges and purifies the heart'

Have you spotted our toilet seat? 🚽

This seat from 1275-1325 CE, was probably cut down from a two-seater plank. At one end there is incised decoration of chevrons and diamonds, probably cut idly while someone was using the toilet.

Even after more than 120 years, this building is still a familiar landmark. Caledonian Road School, Perth, c.1900. The school was founded in 1892 and was located next to the Railway Station with many pupils who were children of railway workers.

We're at the Abernethy Gala for this week's wee trip - we're not sure when but we don't think it's the 1940s... These creative villagers were dressed up to represent Abernethy's contribution to the War Effort!
