#8R7X - Guyana 2024 QSL Card preview.

The card design is shown below. We are offering a 4 sided (folded) card for direct requests and a single two sided card for bureau requests.

Parts of team #8R7X met to follow up on all their equipment.

Furthermore, all laptops were synced again and we were able to retrieve and upload around 200 missing QSOs.

Team #8R7X is still stuck at #GEO in #Guyana . There was no problem with checking all their luggage pieces. Though, their flight #AA1512 is already delayed by around 5 hours. 🇬🇾

The team is in good spirits and eagerly awaiting their departure back towards #MIA 🇺🇲

The team has just left their QTH towards Georgetown where they'll meet with local supporters of this #DXPedition . 🇬🇾

#8R7X just hit 70.000 QSOs. We will keep stations on the air until tomorrow +/- 0600 UTC. So if you didn't work us yet, now is the time! 🇬🇾

Meanwhile, parts of the team are busy with logistics sorting and packing roughly 350 kg of equipment.

Most of the antennas are down and packed again. Specific antennas for 160 - 6m are still up and running.

The team was able to reschedule transportation for their departure, so they can spend more time on the air.

New QRT time is set to upcoming Sunday, 25th Feb, +/- 0600 UTC.

Team #8R7X is currently busy to dismantle most of their antennas and stations. Though, we will still be active on the bands in various modes throughout the day.

The plan is to close the log in around 24h including QSOs within the #CQ160SSB contest among others.

Team #8R7X is facing a power cut and running on the generator again. Thus, a little interference can be expected on lowbands.

Also, we have passed the 50.000 QSO mark today. Let's see where we can get the number until our QRT.

Team #8R7X is currently preparing for #ARRLCW contest over the weekend. They'll enter M/2 category. These QSOs will be uploaded only after the weekend.

Still dealing with a local power outage.

At this stage we are unsure when the power will be restored and with limited fuel on site for the generator we will be QRT until around 03:30z where we will run low bands.

#LOWBAND #UPDATE

We are facing a local power cut and running on generator power. Unfortunately, this produces lots of QRM for us. Hopefully we'll be back to mains shortly with less noise.

Also, we were not able to build our RX antennas as planned. We'll source a solution asap.

We have just finished our 160m inverted L antenna. Receiving antennas will be added tomorrow after our sunrise. Thus, please bare with us in the first night.

We have arrived at QTH in the very early morning. All luggage made it to #Guyana , though small transportation damages need to be repaired.

Our first antenna is up, now QRV as #8R7X 🇬🇾
