It was an honor to be asked to be on The Regenerative Ag Podcast with John Kempf earlier this winter. I was hopped up on 2 pots of coffee in an attempt to up to keep with him that morning but did my best to answer the questions from one of the best minds in this space.

Needs to be said. And it needs to be personal. Are we afraid of inviting more people to farm? Are we afraid of a young farmer being successful on 1% of the acres we farm and sharing in that financial success? If you are not, who are you inviting onto your farm?

I started doing this 9 years ago. I started with no budget, little understanding, and have heard every reason why intercropping is dumb.

It’s nights like this when you come to the realization that the worth is in the work. Making it work on your farm makes it valuable for you.
