We applaud the decision by the planning inspector to refuse the building proposal that would have disturbed a memorial for Canadians who gave their lives in the First and Second World Wars. This decision is a reminder of our shared histories.

On Saturday May 25th, the remains of an unknown FWW soldier from Newfoundland returned home from France after over 100 years. The public can visit and pay their respects from June 28-30 at the Confederation Building before reinterment at the NL National War Memorial on July 1st.

Le 25 mai la dépouille d'un soldat terre-neuvien inconnu de la PGM est revenue de France après plus de 100 ans. Le public pourra lui rendre hommage du 28 au 30 juin au bâtiment de la Confédération, avant la réinhumation au Mémorial national de guerre de Terre-Neuve le 1er juillet
