The USPP command staff joined regional partners honoring fallen heroes at the 45th Washington Area Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Ceremony. During the ceremony, Chief Taylor placed a rose at the @dcpolicedept memorial in remembrance of our 13 fallen officers.

The Traffic Safety Unit trains our recruit officers in DUI detection and enforcement so every USPP officer can remove dangerous drivers from the roads we patrol. Help keep our roads safe, don't drink and drive.

The USPP family attended the @pgpdnews Memorial Ceremony dedicated to heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice. We honored the legacies of Officer Hakim Farthing and Officer Raymond Hawkins and will always remember their service to the Prince George's County community.

#Congratulations to the 9 graduates of the Spring 2024 Horse Mounted Academy. This 400-hour course is incredibly difficult and provides the officers necessary skills to serve in our #horse mounted units.

The Office of Workforce Development hosted the first Recruits and Retirees training session. The recruits interviewed several generations of retired USPP officers, learning our agency history and discussing valuable career advice.

A patrol ride on the @nationalmallnps is a great way for the officers in our Horse Mounted Academy to demonstrate their skills. The hard work these officers put in throughout this course will be celebrated at their graduation later this week!

Our Aviation Unit serves an incredible mission providing law enforcement service and emergency medevac care to the communities in the Washington, D.C. area. The officers that serve on the Eagle are always training to be prepared for when they are needed most.

During a special ceremony at headquarters, a new honorary chief was sworn in by Chief Taylor. Our new honorary chief got right to work, and we are proud he is a part of our team!
