When working with our most traumatised young people,firstly we need connection before correction. Make time for relationships. Make space for big emotions.Understand and empathise with children that their behaviour is expressing a need,it's the language of an unmet need. 🧠🌱

Dysregulation of the nervous system can make you feel like you're at war with your physiology. This makes it difficult to stay in the optimal zone of your window of tolerance leaving you spending more time outside in a state of hyperarousal or hypoarousal.🧠🌱
