In summary - genomics is in good health on the basis of this meeting. We've come so far from 24 years ago when the draft human genome was announced; we've still got plenty to do. Many thanks to the organisers (Aaron Quinlan Tuuli Lappalainen Jenny Tung) for a great meeting!

Messaging all immunologists who are excited about the potential of large-scale genome editing to understand mechanisms underlying inflammatory bowel disease - this postdoctoral fellowship with @gosiatrynka and I may be right up your street!

Pedro Beltrao As a reviewer #3 of the paper, I tried REALLY HARD to get nature to demand downloadable code. The editors just ghosted me. I wrote extensively that the server needed work but I was not given the paper to re-review so I don't know if they improved it. It's not available yet.

AlphaFold3 is out with improvements on structural models that include DNA/RNA and small molecules. Unfortunately, there is no code, no binary to run at scale and only a limited webserver. Why even publish? nature.com/articles/s4158…

AlphaFold 3 is out! As expected expands coverage to small molecules and nucleic acids. And replaces the structure module with a diffusion-based one. Unfortunately no code or model weights--just a web server for a limited set of ligands: blog.google/technology/ai/…

Trailer for two excellent posters at 220 (Saul Pierotti) +270 (@WelzBettina), Poster Session III on Friday afternoon, two sides of the same story around medaka fish genetics both challenging and exploring what to expect in human genetics, but in a controlled situation. >>
