This is my MP (not that we’ve ever really noticed; he’s been too busy trying desperately to boost his political ambitions - without any talent, of course). What an embarrassment. Tactical voting essential in our constituency!

Next week’s policy announcement:
The compulsory serving of asparagus at breakfast, free corsets for the under-fives, and the abolition of slavery. 🤡

Absolutely astonishing that Channel 4 stuck an ad break in the middle of the opening battle scene of Saving Private Ryan. Total disrespect shown to the material, the artistry, the power of that sequence and - crucially - the viewers. Pathetic.

- MPs jumping ship while he’s at the Titanic quarter
- Being photographed under a big exit sign
- Literally rebuilding a red wall

ALL IN ONE DAY.

He is the Mozart of shit campaigning.

You can easily tell if an MP is in politics for the right reasons: they won’t stand down at the election, they’ll fight to continue representing their constituents and community.

30 seconds in to his speech and the PM has already forgotten that in Covid he ignored and forced into difficulties 3 million freelancers who received no support whatsoever. Good riddance.

Any chance those protesters outside the Downing St gates could sort out their sound system? Preferably turned to off. But otherwise without the bloody feedback. Thanks.

Absolutely stonking brunch with Lev Parikian full of stories, gossip, memories and two great anecdotes about James Dillon. And Lev signed one of his splendid books for my dad. We have so much in common: percussionists, ex-RAM, cricket fans. But I know bugger-all about birds.

The one thing I miss about being at the BBC as one of the main presenters of the Proms is never having to queue for tickets, online or literally.

Surely the most outrageous thing about Harrison Butker is that he gets paid millions and millions of dollars to kick a ball. And literally does nothing else in the game. Comes on, kicks a ball a couple of times, goes off.

The thing that excites me the most about Lev’s paperback coming out today is that I bought a copy on my local bookshop 4 days ago.
