Boy math is arguing against homeschooling because the kids need socialization, while only ever talking to people on the internet.

A child cannot fail. A child is FAILED.

Just because a child can learn something doesn’t mean it’s developmentally appropriate.

Maybe instead of shaming and punishing tweens and teens for being “lazy” and unwilling to participate in the things we’ve deemed important, we could respect the fact that they are going through more development right now than at any other time and cut them some freakin slack. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Be mindful of the message it sends when you reward perfect grades. Striving for academic perfection for extrinsic rewards is a recipe for disaster.
