朝ドラのような安心感のあるノリが一転白石監督らしい転調で重厚派時代劇へと様変わり！役者の方々みんな時代劇の雰囲気が出ていてそれだけで高評価。クライマックスのチャンバラ合戦もアガれる。草彅剛さんの風格ある佇まいは正に「武士」でした！格之進のように誠実な話運びも好き。
