First Oak bark Photogrammetry tests are promising. I can get a pretty clean displacement, diffuse and normal map using AliceVision Meshroom and SideFX Houdini.
Next steps would be to make it tileable vertically and test it out on some tree geometry!

Finished the tileable, I'm now experimenting with ways to add color variations without vertex painting or decals. This system auto detects crevaces and could be used to nicely link objects together, it's either automatic (like on the ground) or handplaced.

1 optimisation for the Rust snowmobile tread was to bake it down to a tileable texture (with alpha), enabling us to use just a simple UV offset matched with the speed instead of an expensive bone setup. This is similar to how the chainsaw chain and blades work, too!

For low detail surfaces and props, I'm just using tileable paint stroke masks. Vertex colour provides base colour and value, and then the mask adds the juice. These all use one material and one tiling texture, and then get some grunge from a procedural AO node.

now also 1 wide tileable, 3000 dispensers per slice, one every 24 gameticks.
speeding up to 16 gameticks would be possible but would make the bow crafter much more complex

Pistonless 1 wide tileable auto crafter for Minecraft 1.21, works for all recipes with 1 type of item. There's currently a bug that affects 1-2 slot recipes however, should be fixed soon and we'll see how things work then:)
