I attended HRH The Princess Royals visit 2 Stonehaven Open Air Pool to celebrate its 90th anniversary.
It is a tremendous asset 4 Stonehaven. People travel from miles around to sample the warm salt water. The formal tour ended with HRH unveiling a plaque.

Full marks to the train manager for her (mildly irked) reassurance over the intercom that, despite the best efforts of our malfunctioning announcer-lady, our next stop was not, in fact, Stonehaven.

The Princess Royal met with Live Life Aberdeenshire staff and Friends of Stonehaven Open Air Pool friends as we all get ready for the summer season ahead, running from May 25 to Sept 1.

Our P2/3 class made these pictures of the Northern Lights after seeing them in person in Stonehaven or looking at photos of the beautiful colours in the sky. They used black paper, chalk and paint.
