'Supply-side economics' refers to a discredited Reagan-era tax cut policy which claimed that giving tax cuts to the rich would result in more investment and economic growth. 'Building more housing during a housing shortage will reduce prices' is just basic economics.

We are suffering the mistakes of the last few decades in not building enough multifamily.
