It's been 20 years since my Grandfather Krishnarao Peshwa performed a 'Udak Shanta' on Bajirao Peshwa's Punyatithi at the Shaniwarwada, after seeking prior permission.
The ritual was attended by our family and close friends.
Recently came across this news piece archived by Ajoba.

Shaniwarwada, the fort and the capital building of the Peshwas until they lost to the British.

It was largely destroyed by British artillery.

National Heritage Policy should aim to restore all such structures demolished by foreign invaders.

It's a yearly tradition for our family to be there on his birth & death anniversary.
My father was always the first to honour him with a garland. His void is deeply felt now.
