•D Squadron of 22 SAS flown to Mount Kent

•QE2, Canberra and Norland rendezvous at South Georgia. 5 Brigade start cross decking

Canberra is heading to South Georgia to RV with QE2. We have HMS Ardent survivors & a host of walking wounded PoW's that need guarding. Some are conscripts some are special forces, all are happy to be alive and well treated. Several have trench foot as a result of poor foot care.

I knew there was a delta fr past event, 6/5 was a jubilee ✅,per QE2 (fake one, GFL/Q comm,4 trigger 4 me to get back on the road). I was out ~6 mos,due to caring for my mom’s back injury (GK mission/test of unconditional love, 2 go into her dark night of soul in pain).

Having got to know the Ardent survivors, we say a fond farewell as they leave Canberra for the trip across to QE2 & home. We gather a small band to play some tunes to send them off but it is the Westcountry 'Oggy' song that turns emotion into moist eyes. Bon voyage warriors!
