Dr Okuda has been awarded a $1 million #NHMRC Ideas Grant for a project examining the genetic mechanisms that drive lymphatic vessel development- crucial research that may lead to new treatments for lymphatic malformations, a potentially life-threatening disease.

Guess it’s official now. So stoked and still can’t believe that I’m one of the lucky ones to get an NHMRC EL1 Fellowship this round, enabling me to continue my work on brain imaging and modelling over the next 5 years!! 🤯🤯

I am delighted to have been awarded an NHMRC Investigator Grant starting in 2025 🎉
My research will focus on studies to improve outcomes for sick and preterm infants.
