Unlike stigma attached to the word “Mullah” today, it’s real meaning is “Master”. It is derived from Persian word “Mullā”, borrowed from “Mawla” in Arabic. In Islamic history, this title was used with some great Mystical Thinkers like Mulla Fanari, Mulla Jami, Mulla Sadra and co.
