In Islam we don’t do ‘till death do us apart’.

It’s ‘fil-dunya wal-akhir’ (in this word and hereafter).

وَاكْتُبْ لَنَا فِي هَـٰذِهِ الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ إِنَّا هُدْنَا إِلَيْكَ ۚ

'And ordain for us that which is good, in this life and in the Hereafter: for we have turned unto Thee.'

Afiyah means well-being. Asking Allah for Afiyah means to be saved from Distress, Grief, Hardship, Test, and all pain and suffering in both this world and the hereafter. All of this is included in the short but beautiful dua:

“Allahumma inni As’ Aluka Al’Afiyah”

Gentle reminder that you don't need people's validation on how you look and doing in life. But you do need to please Allah for this world and ultimately the hereafter.

Surely those who offend Allah and His Messenger are condemned by Allah in this world and the Hereafter. And He has prepared for them a humiliating punishment.

Shaykh Sulayman ar-Ruhaylee (حفظه الله) said:

From the most beautiful of statements, is what some have said:

Whoever makes the days of his life like the days of Ramadan, Allah will make his Hereafter (ending) like the day of Eid!

Oh Allah, protect me and my loved ones from harm and guide us to what is best for our Hereafter.🤲
