I hope the dirty fucker (apologies but I'm so cross) who abandoned this caravan at my favourite Carrickreagh , Ely Lodge , beside Lough Erne, rots in hell.
The only good news that day , was that there were 2 Grebe nesting near by.that cheered me up, first Grebe I'd seen for years

A fascinating sighting I had at Lake Kerkini was this Great Crested Grebe fending off a huge Four-lined Snake (Elaphe quatuorlineata) which came close to its nest while swimming. The snake must have been around 2 meters long.

Popped along to Frampton pools this afternoon in the hope of seeing my first Hobbys of the year, was not disappointed as 4+ was over the sailing lake, also 6+ Common Terns, 3 Swifts and a Great Crested Grebe with its dinner. Also a Peregrine Falcon over Splatt flashes.
