The last photograph of a wild Barbary Lion wandering alone through the Atlas Mountains. It was taken in 1925 by Marcelin Flandrin, and at the time, it would have shown what was likely one of the last individuals of a species.

Reconstruite entre 1924 et 1937 puis devenue cathédrale en 1966, Sainte-Geneviève de Nanterre est entièrement décorée de fresques de Paul Baudöuin et ses collaboratrices et collaborateurs, de chapiteaux sculptés par Madeleine Froidevaux Flandrin et de vitraux de Louis Barillet.

This is a 1925 photo of possibly the last Barbary lion in the wild before its extinction. It was taken by French photographer Marcelin Flandrin while he was onboard a flight on the Casablanca-Dakar air route.

Hippolyte Flandrin est né à Lyon le 23 mars 1809.

Dépose en vue de la restauration du chemin de croix de Saint-Médard, peint v1935 par Marthe Flandrin, Simone Flandrin-Latron et Simone Lorimy Delaroziere, grâce au mécénat des ChantiersDuCardinal restauration par Julie Chanut

Découverte dans l’exposition Louis Janmot, Le poème de l’âme, cette œuvre du peintre Florentin Servan, ami de Janmot et de Paul Flandrin.

Servan est peu connu. Il se spécialise dans le paysage et la peinture de sujets religieux.
