Today at Westminster, Jeremy Hunt told the House of Commons that the Tories have 'abolished' low pay. And P&O Ferries chief executive Peter Hebblethwaite told the business select committee how he was paying seafarers £4.87 an hour.

Today, the boss of P&O Ferries admitted crew earn as little as £4.87 an hour.

When ITV News and the Guardian reported this two months ago, P&O Ferries insisted “we do not recognise the pay rates that you are referencing.”

Today I challenged the CEO of P&O Ferries.

He claimed that workers on his ferries were not sacked on 17 March 2022.

I have a feeling the workers who were handcuffed by masked security guards and marched off the ship to be told they were now out of a job see it differently.

It will be a lot more by early next week I would suspect there will be another 100 or more there tonight IPO is very busy today I am told. Not to mention the ferries into Larne fun times ahead.
