Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome (1985)

The Humungus is just about the most prototypical Mad Max villain, is in the 2nd best movie, but might also be the most boring of the main villains too. His gimmick is being big and mean. Didn’t even invent thunderdome.

1. Fury Road
2. The Road Warrior
3. Furiosa
4. Mad Max
5. Thunderdome

Really liked Furiosa overall, desperately want to double feature it with Fury Road.

I think it's kinda funny that Mel Gibson and Timothy Chalamet were around the same age when Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome and Dune 2 came out, respectively.

Beyond Thunderdome (1985) sucks. A cargo-cult of a movie that wears the aesthetics of the Road Warrior likena skinsuit.

The Bartertown scenes are some of the best moments in the entire franchise, you can really see the influence Beyond Thunderdome had on series like Fallout and Borderlands in these moments. It's just a shame the rest of the movie can't keep up.
