ScreenSkills ran two successive #apprentices hip pilots starting in 2020 with seven industry partners, funded by the Government, where 57 #apprentices from a range of backgrounds received on-the-job training in #film and #TVproduction .
Just last night there was an industry networking event in Glasgow, hosted by NFTSScotland for participants on our #HETVSkillsFund -ed Early Entrant Pathways Programme, in partnership with BECTU Vision. Thank you to all the industry pros who shared their wisdom - it was a great evening
Changes recommended include making the Levy more flexible to support more #vocationaltraining , mapping #apprenticeshipstandards more closely to industry roles, increasing the number of industry-recognised training providers and a thorough assessment of the current models.
A new report from ScreenSkills is recommending fundamental reform of #apprenticeships for the #TV and #film sector following an assessment of two pilot schemes:
