Our last session at the Active Citizens Hangout was on Youth and Participatory Governance 👏

This was facilitated by Temidayo Musa Temidayo Musa, our head of Programs and Operations here at Civic Hive.

We still have a LONG way to go towards fully inclusive and participatory autism research (and conferences, clearly). Yet, I feel invigorated to have met some truly fantastic autistic and non-autistic people at #INSAR2024 doing impactful work, who make it feel possible ❤️

Simulation modeling helped sensitize local govt officials and community ppl. on annual planning process, resulting in more participatory and demand-based programming. EU in Nepal & UNDP have partnered through #EUSIF project in Karnali and conducted orientations through simulation.

A bowling club are hoping to encourage young people to take up the sport with help from the Participatory Budgeting fund.
Halfway and District Bowling Club are looking to start a junior section of the club after receiving £3,000 from the fund.

Several other organisations and activists were there, and different amazing success stories of adolescents were summarised
