I'm losing my mind what's the point of lying like this. Paxlovid wasn't available at the start of the pandemic, there was no data about metformin's benefits w COVID at that time, and you can't even get Pax w/o a pos test so how did you get one to just 'carry with you'

They don’t “trust” the Covid vaccine, but the minute these folks are getting their asses kicked by this virus they’re demanding Paxlovid. MAKE IT MAKE SENSE!

I was turned down for Paxlovid at urgent care because “Omicron is mild.” I went to pharmacy clinic after and got Paxlovid. Still got long COVID. $50k in out of pocket to try to survive to date. Typing from HBOT chamber.

I am not okay with people telling others that vaccines prevent long COVID. It's misinformation and it's dangerous. Nobody wants long COVID. It takes everything in your life away. It's truly the most horrible illness. I want my life back and we need real therapeutics.

When the omicron wave was forecasted, patients said “this will be millions with #LongCovid — We desperately need a public warning.” None came.

Public health failed and continues to fail so many, & I honestly don’t see how trust is ever rebuilt at this point.

Ppl need to take early treatment way more seriously. I hear so much of, “it wasn’t so bad, so I didn’t take anything & my doc didn’t think I needed it. But now I have Longcovid so wtf?”

Early treatment reduces LC! Demand it! Metformin, paxlovid, saline nasal sprays, gargle etc!

One difference between the antiviral effect of #paxlovid vs #metformin is that paxlovid has an effect through day 5 & then with short half-life, fades. In contrast 14 days of metformin, the antiviral effect increases over time.
At day 10, -0.64 log for MET vs. -0.35 for PAX.

This is genocide for disabled people.

Three things I did at the start of the pandemic:

1. Got my Vitamin D Levels above 70
2. Started off label metformin
3. Got a script for Paxlovid to carry with me.

There is NO healthcare system that will be there for you, do it for yourself.

You can get METFORMIN off label.

Excellent piece. I think Pax may benefit the unvaccinated. Beyond that, I doubt there is much benefit. The studies the approval were based on show this pretty clearly. Most docs I know rarely prescribe Pax. medpagetoday.com/opinion/second…
