オフリスに数分間もぎゅっとしがみついたまま離れない蜂。日本の蜂にとっては見たこともない西欧の草のフェロモンはあまりに刺激的だったのかも。飛び立つときには頭にしっかりと花粉塊をつけてます。

Ik ben gebiologeerd door de lokale flora op Lesbos, Griekenland.

Alles staat hier prachtig in bloei. Zeer zeldzame planten gezien en ook die louter alleen op dit eiland voorkomen, zoals de Ophrys lesbis (afb. 3).

Ook de gefossiliseerde resten van Sequoia’s (afb. 4) zijn

The island is a hotbed for their kind, with many species and forms represented across it. We were in a bee orchid wonderland.
